Ranger: The shy southern boy

Ranger the southern sweetie dogThis is Ranger! Ranger came to the SPCA of Tompkins County (TCSPCA) from the South with 11 other dogs to find his forever home. Ranger is from an area of the country where an overwhelming number of dogs need homes, so Ranger was transported to TCSPCA for the chance to find a home in the North East! Ranger was inflicted with a bite wound before his travels to TCSPCA, and has scars from old wounds that have healed. The veterinary team from Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program at Cornell are keeping a close watch on Ranger’s wound and have given him antibiotics to help him clear the infection associated with it so he can heal up quickly! They have also treated Ranger for intestinal parasites and neutered him since his arrival. Ranger is quite shy, but he is a very kind boy. Shelter staff and volunteers will be giving Ranger lots of positive reinforcement and TLC to help him come out of his shell and show his great personality. Ranger is now available for adoption and is ready to find his forever home!
